This gentle approach is a wonderful complement to traditional medical and traditional talk therapy in supporting nervous system/anxiety based disorders.
What makes this work so supportive, is it helps a client experience their body, their breathing, their inner structure as an incredibly grounding place to keep their awareness. When stressed, many people become trapped within their thoughts, anxiety, and the body tightens creating painful symptoms. When a person can get more used to staying grounded in their body, it reduces the tendency to go into habitual, distressing cycles.
